I’m picking sweet corn in my garden at the moment, and even if you aren’t growing it, you should be able to find it in season at your local Farmers’ Market. This is my favourite breakfast at the moment.
Paw paw and citrus flavours go so well together, and luckily I have the last citrus of the season – late mandarins and pomelos – still picking.
This is a riff on Mollie Katzen’s Green Green Noodle Soup, with a little bit of “Green Eggs and Ham” inspiration.
Not a recipe, just a reminder. I have at long last moved on from Tangelo Breakfast Compote as my favourite breakfast. There’s still a few tangelos, but the avocados are so beautifully in season now, and there’s also still plenty of limes.
It’s a simple trick: if you whisk egg whites until they are fluffy, they expand, by a huge amount. Add a few tasty low fat ingredients and you can create a big breakfast that is healthy, filling, and very low calorie.
It’s citrus season, our tangelo tree is loaded, and I have a new favourite breakfast.
