Winter Fruit Bowl

My gorgeous Yule gifted fruit bowl, filled with the harvest from our two and a half year old, mostly verge and laneway planted fruit trees. The winter red paw paws have black spot after all the wet weather. They wouldn’t be acceptable for commercial sale but with a little bit of trimming, we get red pawpaw for breakfast every day. The last of the tamarillos, and the passionfruit are no longer yielding the bucketful a day but they have such a long season, we have been getting enough for our couple of households for months. Lemons are the only citrus so far, but with luck we’ll have mandarins, oranges, limes, cumquats and tangellos too next winter. Life is good.
